Having kicked things off with an almighty bang 7 days prior, our second expedition into Zoo Evolution had a lot to live up. As we opened our doors the early arrivers rolled in and began to explore the venue. With the early Summer sun starting to heat up, the pool is becoming increasingly inviting and the shade from the ever present trees is welcomed once again. Our long serving resident Milou opened proceedings in the Treehouse and delivered 2 hours of serene and etherial house music. Flitting between ethnic tinged electronica and more up front sounds her set was one of the highlights of the evening. Down in the Living Room local crew MATE had arrived early and planted their flag firmly in the centre of the dance floor. This room was packed from start to finish with a great atmosphere all day long. Much love to all the MATE DJs and also our own Thomas Gioia who closed the intimate room in style. Back up in the main arena Pioneer DJ Radio took over proceedings with a showcase from the Jack’s House record label. First up Laidlaw‘s selection of bleepy, left of centre house brought the sun down to the horizon before 2Vilas and their more tech-house orientated selections put the day firmly to bed and welcomed in the night. Label head and long time island favourite Clara Da Costa played back to back with special guest Alex Arnout for the final set of the night and had the locked crowd cheering for more as midnight rolled around.
Tuesdays are really starting to build a feel of their own and considering we are only two events in we can’t wait to see how Zoo Evolution continues to grow. Coming up on May 23rd we have a very special collaboration with Mr C and his Superfreq brand and down in the Living Room our tips for the top Real Gang are back for round two as they host the arena for the second time after their sterling performance at our Opening Party. Tickets for this event are available here, book now to avoid disappointment.
